One Fine Day

Living in Scotland, dreich weather is something I'm very used to, and to be honest, it's really never bothered me.

But these past few days the grey sky and constant downpours have put me in a really foul mood - Scandinavian S.A.D cafés suddenly seem all the more appealing...

This morning, however, the sky was clear, and the sun was shining - what a difference a day makes! According to the weather forecast this is the only nice day we're to have all week, and so the Botanics came a-calling - a relaxing stroll round winding paths followed by coffee al fresco soaking up the vitamin D.

This is the roof of the Temperate Palmhouse - a beautiful 19th century building that wouldn't look out of place in the grounds of a French palace.

Tomorrow the rain returns... (hello Expedia!)
