16th Street Mall, Denver, CO
While in Denver, CO, for the ASTD, I spent a few nights walking up and down, shopping and eating on the 16th Street Mall. It was starting to get dark and colder in the night air when I saw a group of homeless people sitting on a bench. They had backpacks of blankets and their few belongings next to them on the bench. I walked on past a ways and then turned and took a picture. The scene made me feel sad. I can't imagine being homeless and having nowhere to turn for warmth and food. I wish there was something I could actually do.
