Poppies and Proteas

I really, really love this flower stand, and I bought some Proteas today from it's voluminous collection. These crazy flowers are more like cacti, they resemble artichokes more than daisies, and their blooms last for weeks. Further, the Protea is not only South Africa's National Flower, but it's also the mascot of the Western Cape's cricket team. And now I have my very own!!! :)
