Diary of an Edinburgher

Jupiter Artland at last!

Well, I had a bit of a relapse last night. My fever raged, I sweated, tossed and turned and had weird dreams until the wee small hours.

Then I realised the electric blanket was on low instead of off! (What do you mean, 'Still got an electric blanket on in May?' I'm a wimp).

Since by morning it was apparent that I wasn't coming down with dengue fever, and I spied the blue skies, we made a booking to go to Jupiter Artland. It's a place we've been meaning to go for years. And it didn't disappoint. The walks take a couple of hours to complete, with a convenient path back to the tearooms/restaurant in between each part. The meals looked fantastic. It was also just past my favourite help-yourself-roast-meal-and-bottomless-ice-cream place, but I wasn't tempted in.. I MUST be a bit off colour!

I had so many blips of gorgeous woodlands with dappled sunlight and wee paths winding into the distance. And an amazing room of red roses all over the floor - being left to rot - it's art! And sculptures and dry stane dykes. And views over the fields to the Pentlands on one side and the Forth Bridge on the other, with lovely wee fluffy white clouds. And the wee silver caravan that we had coffee and a chocolate brownie in, but the Charles Jencks Landforms were amazingly lovely and vast, and they won the day.

I took four shots and stitched them together, in case you think I've got a wide angle lens already! I'd tell you if I had!
