Kikuzono One

At the Kikuzono (Chrysanthemum Park) intersection sits this little poultry shop. Next door is a manju shop (but another day). The sign says "Kashiwa" (kind of an older way to say "chicken", and Tamago, which means "egg". They also sell an assortment of croquettes and other fried chicken bits. I walk by this shop most mornings and the old guy is in there (filthy whites) leaning on the counter. When I come home in the evening he is standing in the same place. Another dying cultural icon, the local poultry shop. The wheel turns.
