Kazando Dam
This may not look like much, but it could help 40 families towards food security this hungry season.
It looks like beavers gone wild, boy scouts let loose or small boys messing in mud, but it is a real structure which works. It has raised the water level in the river by about three feet enabling thousands of gallons of water to hurtle down a valley for about a mile enabling about thirty acres to be farmed in this dry season.
We fed the thirty families here last year, but they have forgotten the fear of hunger, and even with constant urging, we had to send our men to finish the dam, such is the scale of the technology!!!!!.
Most of the dimba in now planted with maize and we see hope at last.
