Egret update

Took some time this afternoon away from work. Went out to the egret nesting area. They seem to be more settled into nesting life. Looks like still on eggs as I didn't see any little heads pop up from the nests. It was funny, you could tell the ones that had mates bringing them food and such. There are quite a few more egret photos starting here!!! I couldn't decide which one to use for my journal so I let Glenn pick. :) I like the photo but not the branch that goes across it, which is that dark 'stripe' coming from the top left corner. However, I am particularly fond of this one and this one! I'm thinking I will go visit them again soon! I'm going to research the gestation period of the eggs and their nesting time.

It was a nice day today. More sunshine, YAY, and less wind. Just a nice breeze. Lovely!

Unfortunately, my oldest called late last night and said he was running a high fever. I told him to get up and call the doctor first thing this morning, which he did(I love that they listen to their Mom when they are older :) and that even at 23 my son still wants to talk to his Mom when he is sick) Turns out he has strep throat. ugh. He always seems to get it worse than the other two. Worse sore throat. Higher fever. He says his throat is really swollen. But, another day of antibiotics and he should start to feel better! As a Mom, I want to drive up there and take care of him! His sister is there and made him soup for dinner, Bless her heart. I'm sure tomorrow will be better for him!

I am opening up the store tomorrow morning so I think I will call it a night. (Which pretty much translates to going and laying in bed with my ipad and checking out all your journals!)
