Coming home

In yesterday's blip I mentioned that our Rising two year old heifers had come home from their grazing in Canterbury. They had been away for 13 months, and yesterday it was exciting watching them come off the truck, and seeing how much they had grown during this time.

This morning we moved them to our lease block across the road from our run off. However to get there, they had to walk a short distance along the road. This picture shows the cows coming down the road, followed by my husband and our two sons. My job was to stand at the gate to turn them into the paddock - but I couldn't help myself and just had to take a few photo's of them coming along the road for today's blip.
