Friends across the water

A surprise treat today. Our old friend John Tribble from Atlanta Georgia was in the UK. He sells antique and reproduction furniture and makes periodic visits to Europe to stock up. He was in neighbouring Lewes to see one of his suppliers so we went over and took him out for lunch. We haven't seen him for at least five years. He is as handsome as ever and has a gorgeous Southern accent. It was as though we last spoke yesterday. Here he is with Karen on his knee.
