Light in Life as a Feather on the Breeze
Well, I made it to 33 straight days of photographing an image at least once a day...
And then I missed one! Boo.
That isn't to say I haven't been thinking photography these last 24 hours...I've spent about 3 hours of my waking moments today going through digital images of my son's first two years. So far I've been able to get through just what was on my husband's computer. I got my laptop six months ago, so between now and then, I'd say technically, I'm still not done.
You may be asking yourself, why go through thousands of images in the last few days? I've become a scrap-a-holic and it pretty much hit me overnight. Once upon a time, I got too busy with the rest of life and some time after my son's christening, his scrapbooks just stopped coming forth. He's 2 now and that christening was 1 year and many months ago!
Then one day last week, I picked up some scissors and paper and started putting together some pages. The project flowed out of me and when I stepped back, I stared at this creative work of art I'd compiled from old photographs, stickers, scraps of mementos and a stick of glue. And I couldn't believe I'd ever lost touch with such a fulfilling hobby.
So now I'm playing catch-up, going through all the images and pulling the best ones all together into one folder and organizing the mementos of his life into specific dates. I'm starting to get a good feel for what I've got to work with and I'm so close to final organization, that I just want to keep going until I've finished it...Once I do, I can start on the really fun and artistic part of scrapping.
Slowly but surely, I shall one day be on the same page in his books as we are in his life.
