training
It's the Etape Caledonia on Sunday (stupidly early start time) and the weather forecast looks mince: windy, wet. I've not had much time to do training over the last few weeks other than the occasional commute to work and back and the Kinross Sportive a few weeks ago; I'll get round okay but it's not going to be a record-breaking time for sure.
Grabbed an hour for some last minute training on the turbo in the garage (yes, I know the garage is a tip; I think some kind of small bomb went off in there). 10 minute intervals of high cadence, medium cadence, low cadence with sprints in between. It's amazing how much the air flow when cycling cools you off; in the garage it's usually a sweat-fest (I'm sure no-one wanted to know that really...)
