POLICE PROTESTS IN PARLIAMENT SQUARE

Today's effort was blipped in almost the same location - but it was all so different this time: instead of soldiers in ceremonial dress uniforms, off-duty police officers in their civvies were protesting against the Government's cuts to their pay, pensions and conditions. Their on-duty colleagues policed the route - and tonight back at home, i saw that uniformed police officers clapped and cheered their work mates on.

I blipped this on the way back from lunch with AA - she's off on her hols tomorrow - woo hoo! I'm going to miss her A LOT when I go to Ottawa *sob*
