Chestnut Avenue

This is one of many avenues of horse chestnut trees in Bushy Park. The main one, with a road running down the centre, is actually called Chestnut Avenue and dates back to the 1690's. Horse chestnut trees are everywhere in this park and I just love them.

I decided to take a detour through the park on my way to the dentist, and had to admire the effect the rain is having on the greenery... reminds me of Ireland!
