in transit through France

...this morning, we set off on our two day drive to Fivizzano. The weather was grey and misty all the way to Folkestone and positively wet in Calais but, as we headed further southeast, the sky grew brighter and by the time we crossed the Somme the sun was out and the temperature started to soar. By the time we passed Rheims, it was up to a fabulous 29C!

Today's blip is of the waterwheel at the Hotel Moulin du Landion, which has become our regular watering hole on our trips to and from Tuscany.

Now that I have blipped, we can go to dinner and partake of an all important glass of bubbly that is nearly mandatory in this part of the world...
