Hug Me
It's a horrid grey, rainy day today and inspiration had I none until I came across this little smiley face which someone had drawn on the most beautiful of trees. The tree has its roots firmly embedded in Princes Street Gardens and, apparently, was planted for the people of Edinburgh to commemorate Tree-Time in Craigmillar on the 3 December 1991. I adore trees and am at my most happiest and peaceful when lost amongst them so this lifted my spirits somewhat.
Did I hug it? I'll let you be the judge of that...............
Here's today's tune. It's one of my favourite songs. The link is there, you just have to find it.
Trees should never be defaced or treated with disrespect in any way but I don't think the smiley face on this one hurt it at all. What do you think?
Note - The tree is a Prunus Serrula Tibetan (birch bark) Cherry. Thanks to bignonioides for that.
