A poem...
In case it has escaped your attention it is National Poetry day. Campbell has been working hard on a poem for school about his swimming lessons. I thought the least I could do after all his effort is steal it for todays blip. (Just one thing to note the reference to number 2 relates to the numbers given to the two groups by the swimming instructor).
SWIMMING
By Campbell, Age 9.
When I get in the pool
I hear people shouting rules
Dive, Dive
Splash, Crash
Number 2
Dive, Splash
I hear laughing
I hear squealing
My friend Craig's laughing
Sometimes it makes my ears ring
When I get out I smell smelly trunks
And they're like junk
Soap gets blobbed on my head
Some gets in my eyes and makes them all red
If I paddled hard enough
I would go faster than a boat
But truly if I did
I would swim faster than a goat.
