Our doctor recently suggested switching pharmacies, and the place she sent us is a pharmacy like we've never seen! The building itself is a converted firehouse, all glass fronted, and filled with mementos of the owner's native Iran and luscious picture books of Persian cooking and herbal traditions. Shah himself greets customers warmly in impeccable English flavored with the lilt of his Middle-Eastern origins, and layered with an elegant hint of British influence...

And behind glass in the front room, you can watch his chemists at work mixing custom medications while you wait. Gracious staff, great atmosphere--we surely won't be going back to the rude and impatient grocery-store pharmacy!
