Challenge: Quiet

You see that little 'p' on the score there? That means 'quiet'. This is a section from Handel's Sonata III. When I first moved back to Newcastle I had the great idea of taking up the violin again. Unfortunately, the only lessons I could get to were on Sunday morning and as much as I loved this piece, it was pretty painful playing it on a hangover.

I have an intermittent relationship with music. I love it when I listen to and play it but for some reason I can go long periods without being engaged with it at all. I bought myself some new headphones the other day to motivate myself to listen to my ipod more on the way to/from work. Why do I have to work so hard at a relationship with something I love?
