Gorto Maltese

This statue is of a character created by Hugo Pratt. It stands above the Charente River in Angouleme. Just beyond the statue is the museum of comics.

We had a long drive from Mestre (Fontevraud) to a small village outside of Bergerac called Liorac-sur-Louyre, our home for the next week. Best news is that we have an Internet connection!!!
