Sleep. Deprivation.
"Sleep deprivation is the condition of not having enough sleep; it can be either chronic or acute. A chronic sleep-restricted state can cause fatigue, daytime sleepiness, clumsiness and weight loss or weight gain. It adversely affects the brain and cognitive function. Few studies have compared the effects of acute total sleep deprivation and chronic partial sleep restriction. Complete absence of sleep over long periods is impossible for humans to achieve (unless they suffer from fatal familial insomnia); brief microsleeps cannot be avoided. Long-term total sleep deprivation has caused death in lab animals."

Apparently 'I've got it on me today' - I'm not sure what I've got on (I've looked and there's nothing there) but I'm sure aprecious is absolutely the most intelligent supremely assured person I have ever met and knows everything including whether I've got it on or not. (I haven't got anything on, apart from my collar. I am a dog. I think aprecious senses are dulled and her cognitive function is a bit lacking.)
I've been up since 5:15am. It's lovely at that time in the morning. Me, aprecious, Snotty and the cats live in the countryside and the sun rises and hits the hills. I was feeling very thoughtful this morning when I saw that sight and thought that aprecious and Snotty wouldn't want to miss out. So I barked. A bit.
A lot.
Nobody said anything for a time. About two hours actually. I busied myself chewing the old bone and thinking about great adventures. And wondering why they'd put a great big curtain up at the conservatory door. It's a nice curtain but I can still see outside from the window. Hope they don't block that up.
aprecious said, "It's a good job the mean age of our neighbours is 86. And we are detached."
She also wondered aloud, "Does sleep deprivation turn you into a homicidal maniac?"
Then she picked up a knife to cut the bread...
I went swimming this morning even though I felt like death. I still felt like death when I got out, only a very wet version.
