messy minute

when watching the sweet chestnuts roast today, i kind of liked the watch and the buttons on our 50's AEG "deluxe" oven. i had just taken this shot, when all of a sudden a chestnut exploded about 3 inches from my head, making me scream like a girl which isn't that bad, since...well, i am a girl...

following was a "rescue mission" that ended in another 3 chestnuts exploding in our kitchen and us spooning chestnuts from their shells.
wellwell, i guess we're going to buy the next load, but at least we tried...
