just a Moment in the wood

By wavingarms

Cytisus Scoparius, perhaps.

It's broom, but when you're as tired as this, the latin can wait. Two hours of marking decimals, place value with squidshions of zeros, and division by ten, then a teachers job reference.

All is right with the world though; I've just stooped with a tea and Tunnock's Wafer!

This broom bush was the cause of embarrassment last year. I spent quite some time trying to spot an illusive wee creature scampering amongst its branches. The friends waited some time before pointing out that the noise was the seed pods opening and the seeds dropping.

Today I forgave it. It is a thing of beauty, and a beauty that, like the sunshine, will not last long.
