F.A.S.T.
I had taken some really good shots today (you'll have to take my word for it!) and then remembered that it's stroke awareness day. My husband set up a first responder group in the village and has just received an award from the NHS for completing 10 years service. During that time he has used the defribrillator and managed to keep some of the people alive. I would recommend the training for cpr to anyone, you never know when it will be needed and recognising the symptoms of a stroke and getting help quickly is vital. The responder groups are local people trained by the NHS ambulance staff to deal with urgent issues locally while the paramedic is on their way.
