Old object of stone
A thousand years come and gone

For any pedants...this is not an obelisk which would be four-sided topped with a pyramid

It is the Shaft of Anglo-Saxon cross, attributed to the 9th century, now located on the south side of St Peter's Collegiate Church Wolverhampton

But how often do you get to put obelisk into a piece of writing xxx
