Pepperpot

This building has recently gone up near our office. It is something called serviced apartments, neither traditional hotel rooms nor permanent accommodation. I believe it is a sort of legal loop hole that property developers use to avoid having to give over a percentage of the units for social housing (also known as pepperpotting) which is a policy designed to ensure there is sufficient affordable housing and that communities are mixed and balanced.

And here's me thinking there was a housing crisis???
