After the Fair

Back to work and typical that after all that rain over the bank holiday it is a beautifully sunny morning. The Heath is opposite our house is now looking like the Somme but will be tidied-up by the Council today and will quickly recover it's mojo.

Found this:

The fair was over,
the lights in the coconut stalls were put out,
and the wooden horses stood still in the darkness,
waiting for the music and the hum of the machines
that would set them trotting forward....
