I had a discussion with my sister many months ago about 'sunset' photos. They're really easy and overdone, but sometimes the sky is just too stunning to ignore. I've been taking a bunch lately, maybe because it's just nice to be out for once.

The sky in this shot is almost par for the course, really, but for some reason I find it tremendously arresting. These clouds were beautifully lit up even as the light faded on the ground.
