Taking a long view

The neck of Neill's new banjo really isn't as long as it looks in this shot. Despite learning from three very creepy looking characters on YouTube he's not doing bad at all getting musical sounds out of this beautiful instrument. He kindly let me have a go too, but although I must admit it felt and sounded lovely I'm saving myself for when his banjolele arrives.

It was good having a twang on the uke with him again - I think I must have improved as I was able to speak a couple of words whilst playing (like, 'back to the top') and find my place again when I got lost.

The banjo felt huge compared to the uke. And sounded loud!
