Malvhina

Today we had a trip up to the Malvern Hills to see a plot of land. A lovely spot but no view, not sure we like the proposed building so we have some thinking to do and phone calls to make.
It was a lovely to see Jane's sister and brother-in-law (he found the plot for us to see). After a great lunch we went to see the Well Dressing around Malvern, some of the wells anyway. The history of well dressing seems to go back to the 12th and 13th century but more recently it has revived since the early 1990s. More information of the well dressing is here
Pictured is Malvhina. This public drinking spout brought spring water back to the town centre for the first time in at least forty years - from Happy Valley, Rushey Valley and Ivy Scar Rock on the hills above. It has a has a triple theme incorporating elements representing the three springs that supply the spout, the three roads that meet here and the three most important periods in Malvern`s history, - the ancient Celtic origins, the coming of Christianity and the growth of the town in Victorian times.
