Peveril Point

...we originally intended to drive over to Bridport to visit the May Day fair but, a wet morning and the knowledge that we have a two day drive to Italy later in the week, persuaded us to stay more local. Consequently, we went for one of our favourite strolls that brings us back via Peveril Point.

The way the water gets churned up by the shelf of steeply inclined limestone that extends a long way out to sea is both impressive and a reminder to shipping of the dangers that lurk beneath the waves.

This is a popular feeding ground for seabirds and we never tire of watching and listening to the sandwich terns when we walk out along the hard...
