Pendarves Woods

This morning I want out early to Pendarves Woods to take bluebells. The woods are run by the Cornwall Wild Life Trust, this is only about 5min drive from me.

To get to the bluebells, it is about a 15 - 20 min walk, more if you stop on the way like I did. The walk was very muddy this morning as we had quite a lot of rain over night, I had forgot to bring my boots so was in white trainers. It was a bit tricky in some parts to know where to walk with out being up to your eye balls in mud. Anyway my first stop was at the lake, there was a lovely reflection of the sky in the water, we have had so many beautiful sky over the last few weeks. I decided to take this, I had taken a couple of shot when I saw the resident swan starting to come over I guess he thought I would have some food, but I hadn't. I took several images of the swan moving through the water. I did go on through a lot more mud to take the bluebells, It was well worth the walk, as they were at there best. My sister-in-law said to me a long time ago the best time to see the blue bells is on Flora Day which is tomorrow.

It was hard to choose what to blip today in the end I picked the lake with the swan.

The swans are nesting at the moment I think I will go back with my long lens to try and get some pics of the chicks.
