Morning Tea

After being milked this morning, our 'Girls' stopped on their way to their paddock, for a bit of morning tea. Here you can see cow number 118 after having her face in a trough of PKE (Palm Kernel Extract), and then licking her nose trying to get the PKE off it and into her mouth. The cows love PKE and usually run to the trough and try to get some before we have even had time to tow it to their paddock. PKE smells very sweet, but stinks like sprew when it comes out the other end of the cow!
