a puzzle: two trees, same species, side by side, yet one's all autumn colour changing and the other hardly at all. now that's a micro climate for you...

(i could do a whole thing about two people, alike in so many ways, yet one's in one state of being and one's in another... and let's leave it there)

EDIT: finally got the email i was awaiting - it's the version i was expecting. not good news from where i stand. i feel crap for saying i don't want a friend to do well, but all i can see is how much it's cost our friendship this past while and how that won't get any better (esp as circumstances are changing again in two months) and how much i'm going miss what we had. and it would be nice to know that they felt the same way but i guess that's not going to happen. :-(
