Little Cottage.
This is our lovely little cottage for the next few days.
How I wish it was ours!)
It was lovely and sunny on the way down, until we got to Norfolk and then hasn't stopped raining until about half and hour ago!
We had a lovely lunch at The Lifeboat Inn , Thornham. Only just managed to get a table as the place was so busy.
Both of us had their special fish pie, which was delicious, but the Knickerbocker Glory we had as dessert, wasn't as good as the ones we used to have in Scarborough, at the Corner Cafe (.It didn't contain any fruit, was just three different ice creams, fruit sauce and whipped cream, served in a tall glass.)
We told the girl who served us and she said she would pass our comments on to Marco Pierre White, who owns the pub, and is coming to see them tomorrow!
Wonder if she will?!
I know it is Bank Holiday weekend, but we are surprised how busy it is every where.
All the car parks in the villages along the coast were full. Lots of people out walking, inspite of the weather. The quayside was full of children crabbing. They don't mind the rain!
Anyhow we are now settled in our bolt hole away from the crowds.
Just about to open a nice bottle of sauvignon blanc, to have with our local caught crab!
Think I will get the wood burner fired up!
Hope you are all enjoying Bank Holiday Sunday, and have a great Bank Holiday Monday!
