Life on the Good Intent

Drove out to Loch Voil today and paid my customary visit to the grave of Rob Roy MacGregor. There is l0t of late Victorian romanticism around the history of this man, and a Hollywood film shot in Ireland starring an Irishman, but I like to think of Rob Roy as a good man doing his best for his family in difficult times.
The little churchyard is in such a lovely setting and the graves bear the names of the local families including many MacGregors.
Rob Roy's grave is often festooned with tributes - although they are heartfelt it does not make a good photograph.
So these are the gravestones to the side of the now ruined original parish church.
Not as old as friedaquilter's amazing graveyard blips but so much of the place.
