After The Siege

A terrific end to Golden Week. Valerie was in her element studying history in Osaka Castle. We then watched these samurai firing rifles and pistols outside. Very noisy! We all dressed up as daimyo. Arthur went on stage with a Japanese Rocky Balboa who did juggling, acrobatics and made lots of balloon giraffes (how's that for surrealism?) Then Valerie won a prize for her knowledge of Japanese history. Ice creams definitely well deserved. By a strange coincidence, Valerie and Arthur's favourite anime characters, Prikyua, went to Osaka Castle this morning. The evil wizard dropped his purple wand in the show. While we were at the castle, there was an announcement to say that a purple stick had been found and if anyone had lost it then they should claim it at the office on the first floor. As Rod Serling would say, "Welcome to the twilight zone."
