Royal Mile-a place with a lot of history!!

Our busy time is continuing. As a consequence I was being a Taxi driver this morning, and was up on the Royal Mile bright and early. Took this quick snap of the main entrance to St Giles Cathedral. This is the West Doorway, which was remodelled in 1884, it is deeply recessed and carved, with sculptures by William May. Previous to this the doorway was hardly visible as it was hidden by The Old Tolbooth. The Heart of Midlothian now marks the old entrance to this building.
