Buildings growing from earth
After a 3 hour flight from Tokyo, in Shanghai, China (my first time ever to travel to this country) for pleasure.
When I came back from Scotland in March, Tokyo seemed to be a huge busy city. However here in Shanghai, things seems to be in a even more large scale. Huge skyscrapers, mad traffic (seriously astonished), and talkative people moving in all directions. It did make me feel that this country is quickly catching up (although I believe it's still a long way to go to cover the whole nation and population,) in terms of economic development.
Was doing some sightseeing in the modern (Pudong) area, and also some traditional sights around Yuyang area. Nice to have an experience of a different world (traditions, culture, food) even though it's close to Japan.
Btw, this photo is taken from the 100th floor from a building called Shanghai World Financial Center constructed by a Japanese company. The view looks a bit damp or foggy from the moisture, but a nice sight in all directions of the city.
