Thanks for all the good wishes for my meal.

It was a good night and went very well, the menu, as promised, was as follows.

Selection of British ales and canapés - bloody Mary tomatoes, cheddar cheese straws, smoked salmon on homemade bread and pickles.

Starter- Mini Roast Dinner. Fillet steak slices, mini Yorkshire puddings, red wine, red onion & mushroom gravy, water cress and a horseradish cream.

Main - Posh Fish & Chips. Herb crusted haddock loin, mushy minted peas, oven roasted chips with rosemary salt & tartare sauce.

Dessert - individual Croston Trifle

Coffee and homemade chocolate truffles

Selection of British cheese and biscuits.

Had some good feedback so I think they enjoyed it.
