New Allotment - garden share.

A few weeks ago I applied for an allotment so we could, as a family, grow our own veggies. The allotment patch we were hoping for has only 29 allotments and a waiting list of 81,so our hopes were dashed - or so we thought.
The next day we were contacted to be offered a garden share. A young family near here have bought a derelict farm that they are working on but the garden is just too much. So we have been given the old vegetable plot from the farm. Today's image was taken on our first visit to start work today. Will keep you posted on our progress over the next few months. Hopefully our Christmas dinner this year will be made up of all home grown veggies. Wow!!
