sad news...and bright yellow.....

the rapeseed fields are in full bloom...very early this year....must be this drought we're having...:)

on our way we passed the pond in Whittington where I saw both swans having a swim....but no cygnets...so I parked the car and saw the eggs abandoned in a nest that didn't smell very nice.......one egg laying aside from the nest...open .....if you look here you see why...and you see the two grieving parents check the rest of the eggs in the next one.....

I am not very hopeful to see cygnets soon....sad to say.... will go and have another look tomorrow to see if things have changed...
