Fairy Nuff

Do you want the good news or the bad news first?

Bad News:

On arriving in Krakow for the Big Dog's stag weekend I discovered that my lens had sheered off my camera. Basically a couple of rails on the plastic mounting ring had snapped. I had only taken my 18-55mm lens so was without a camera all weekend. On top of that the prospect of having to buy a replacement lens was a bad start to the weekend :-(

Good News:

However, lots of good news too!

(1) Bri was also there and kindly let me take a couple of shots with his camera. Seeing as he was just a little bit worse for wear today, he hasn't got round to sending me them yet ... so the backblips will follow.

(2) The stag weekend in Krakow was a blast and we all got back safe and sound!

(3) I managed to harvest the mounting ring from my duff zoom lens that I replaced earlier this year - and so with a little careful deconstruction, a steady hand and a dab of solder I have a fully operational lens again :-)

(4) Mrs42 made cherry cake. It's awesome!
