Pond life
Oh god, I wish I'd paid attention to those lessons years ago when we did frog spawn. Strolling round the little park round the corner from our house this morning I noticed that the lumps of jelly in this pond had now disappeared and there are dozens and dozens of tadpoles swimming very vigorously.
Like I said, I didn't pay much attention years ago so my brain immediately thought 'ooh look, sperm'. Brain then quickly corrected itself, helped by a young man explaining to his toddler that tadpoles were baby frogs. I was dying to ask this knowledgeable yoof when we might expect the tadpoles to turn (spawn?) into frogs but couldn't quite summon up the courage to ask.
I bet Ceridwen knows.
