Birthday Surprise

Ok so it's not till Sunday but the group and my good colleague and friend (who I jointly run the group with) organised surprise cake, balloons and champagne for Friday afternoon and a slide show of my past 22 years at Warwick all the way through from student to prof

- at group meeting my friend pretended to be really fed up that one of my students was giving the talk today and walked out - I was pretty annoyed with him as I didn;t realise this was a ruse so he could go get all the "treats" - anyway he and the rest of the group - a really great bunch of PhD students and postdocs - planned a fantastic surprise. I am really lucky to work with and know such talented people.
