A Day of Two Halves

Part I: Underwater

We went diving today, on a very nice boat out of Eyemouth. Unfortunately underwater conditions were desparately bad. At times you could see less than a meter, even with the aid of powerful underwater torches. It was pitch dark just 20m below the surface of the water.

With so much crud in the water column, conditions were very poor for photography - quite aside from the safety issues of concentratng on a camera when you hae to fight to see where you are, and where your buddy is. We did grab a few snaps with predictable results... MrsCyclops did manage to get one photo of me at te end of the dive to blip so you can see what it was like!

Part 2: Birthday Celebration

A good friend of ours was celebrating her birthday, so we went out for a few drinks and some dinner. Civilised and relaxing, the very opposite of the diving. Here's MrsCyclops demonstrating the pleasant environment!
