Happy Birthday #2

So Subhash's birthday (Gregorian calendar style) was yesterday. His real birthday is locally determined by moon phases and is on a constant day - i.e. Thursday - and therefore falls on today this year - so we started again after yesterday's late night session, much enjoyed by friends & family, well into the wee hours. Much good food, many cakes, drinks et al - around a roaring fire. Today's birthday was mainly marked by a walk up to the land to the Chikogi house and we all picnicked and frolicked before trotting down to the lodge at dusk (I & Subhash diverting off for a quick 'Purina' chai (mint) and a bidi with Seti at his restaurant, Om Shanti.

The picture is obviously not Subi - but his mum.. Mataji - perpetually photogenic; Subhash still shies away from the lens a little - I'll wait for a better snap of the main man to upload.
