some nice flutin'

today was the first day that i'd seen or heard martha playing her flute.

i had visions of the bit in the simpsons when the kids are doing a school show and each is singing or dancing.
then ralf wigham appears with a flute up his nose. his dad stands, whooping and applauding - 'that's some nice flutin' son!'

but she was great. i was very proud and i really hope she sticks with it.
