Birds on the Beach

Tuesdays and Thursdays are my wife's yoga days, so we both get up before dawn: she to take the class and me to drive her to class. I typically return to the apartment to drink coffee on the patio and enjoy the morning. This morning, however, I was determined to overcome the inertia of sitting on the patio waiting for her return. I headed to Playa La Ropa to get some slow shutter speed shots of breaking waves. While those shots were not altogether successful, I did get this high shutter speed shot of these three birds. It made me think of my daughter, who loves bird photos, and so I post it today to let her know she is never far from my thoughts despite being physically far away.
