~At Sunset~

These sunsets keep arriving every evening.
I can't resist the urge to photograph them.
If they were all alike I wouldn't even notice them.
But each one is different, with its own personality.
Lite ones and dark ones, happy ones and sad ones.
Some are even scary, and some beg me welcome.
I've been blessed with an abundance of them lately.
Though when I done imaging one, I'm exhausted.
I find my heart is pounding and I'm drenched in sweat.
It is actually a relief when the sky turns to black.
But I'm elated to know my camera is full of colorful clouds.

Thanks for letting me experience this joy,
for without your encouragement to post
these sunset photographs, I would feel
that I was being far too repetitious.
Kind of like telling a story over and over again.
Of course this story ends differently every night!
