Step on

The double glazing is being fitted today so we can finally say goodbye to this incredibly rotten doorstep. According to what the previous owner tell us 'a coat of paint every year should see it alright'. She used the same ethos for the wondow frames, which are showing signs of rot too. Mind you she said she 'hated white plastic windows', she'll be getting a shock next time she comes down this way.
So hopefully, by tomorrow lunchtime, our house should be rot,condensation and draught free as well as loads more secure. Hurrah!
